Chapter 2: Happy Horrordays

After buying some adorable baby clothes and meeting Annie at the Java Web, Gabi returned home. She took her all of her bags and lay them on her bed. She pulled all of the things she bought out of the bags and sat them down on the bed. She was getting out some wrapping paper and boxes when the doorbell rang. Gabi walked over to the door. She was on the landing when the phone rang. Gabi turned around with a start.

"Oh. Hold on. Hold on." She mumbled to herself. She opened the door and saw… nothing. No body was there. She closed the door and waked over to the phone.

She picked up the phone, "Hello."

"Hello, Gabi."

"Uh. Hi. Who is this?"

"You find out soon enough, Gabi."

"Who is this? I'm… I'm hanging up now."

But she was too late the man had already hang up. Gabi placed the phone back in its cradle. "It was probably just someone pulling a stupid prank. Nothing to worry about."

Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong.

'Some is out there.' Gabi thought. 'I'm so stupid if someone wanted to kill me, why would they do it in broad daylight. Wait. What am I thinking? No one wants to kill me. I'm just losing it because of the time of year.'

Gabi walked over to the door and opened it up. A present sat on the stoop. Gabi picked up the present. There was a card lying beside the box. She picked up the card. The front said:

HAPPY HORRERDAYS, GABI!

Her hands shaking, she opened the envelope and opened the card up, "Oh my…No." Gabi placed a hand on her throat, suddenly scared. The Santa had a big X written on him, and the other greeting had been scribbled out. Instead it read:

Roses Are Red,
Corpses Are Blue,
On New Years Day,
You'll Die Too!

The card slipped out from between her fingers and onto the floor. Gabi very reserved opened the top of the package. Inside was a baby doll head covered in blood red paint. Gabi was laying down the box when the phone rang again. Gabi walked over to the phone and picked it up. It was Ricardo. Hi, Gabi. How are you?" He asked.

"I'm doing ok. Why did you call me?"

"I just wanted to know if you like the present I sent you."

Gabi gasped, "You, You sent that?"

"Yes, of course, who else would have sent it?" Ricardo asked with a laugh.
