Chapter 2
"Meg, what are you doing here?" He asked her. "Well I wanted a chance to talk to you Ben, we have so much unfinished business between the two of us and I thought it would be good for us to work it out." She smiled at him with same sweet innocent smile she had mastered over the years. Ben looked up at Maria. "Maria, can you come back to the house in an hour or so, I want to straighten things out with Meg right now." Ben wanted to get talking to Meg over with. Maria was really glad for the escape. She took her chance and left, throwing the pregnancy test she had in the dumpster. She headed straight over to the abortion clinic. When she arrived there she sat in line and was let in for a consultation where she was told her options. She sat listening to the councler in a blur. "I can't do this" As she said the words out loud she realized just how true they are. She can't kill a baby an innocent baby, She would just have to raise him and her on her own. Meanwhile back at the house Meg walked all the way in and took Ben's hand. "Ben, I've been doing a lot of thinking." She said sweetly "and it all comes down to one conclusion. I love you and you love me. That's all we need. Nothing else matters not Maria, not Tess and not Benji, just our love." She shined that innocent smile at Ben and looked at his expression it wasn't what she was expecting at all. Ben was surprised and saddened to hear Meg's words. "Meg, that's where you are wrong. Benji and Maria do matter. They are a part of my life and will always be a part of my life. We can't pretend they don't exist. Besides a lot has changed after my trip to Seattle." "What has changed," Meg didn't understand what Ben was trying to say but She had a feeling she wouldn't like it." "Well Meg, I've found out a lot of information about Maria and the time she was missing" "Oh Ben that's great news. That is one of things that has always stood in the way." She smiled broadly she couldn't of been happier to hear the news. "What did you find out." "Meg, that is something I want to tell Maria first." Just than Maria walked into the house "What is it you would like to tell me Ben." She figured he was going to tell her he is back together with Meg. Ben looked at Meg. "I think it is best that you leave, we will finish our conversation tomorrow." Meg looked at Ben and left. She couldn't believe he chose to talk with Maria instead of being with her.
